Odé Bible is a listening app for Scripture-inspired music. It was built to be private by design: it works without an account or sign-up, and nothing in the app is ever tied to your name, email, or identity.
Odé Bible has no account, no sign-up, and no login — we never ask for your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identifier. What we do collect is all tied to a random identifier generated on your device, never to you personally:
Preferences you choose to share. During first-time setup, you can optionally tell us your favorite genre(s), how much time you typically spend listening, what you use the app for (for example winding down, worship, or falling asleep), and how you heard about us. Every question is skippable. This is used to order what the app shows you first — it stays on your device and is not sent to us.
Listening activity. The app records what you play, finish, skip, favorite, and save, along with the genre and how long you listened, and sends this to our own listening-analytics service. This is tied to a random identifier generated on your device when you install the app — never to your name, email, or any account. We use it to personalize recommendations, radio stations, and playlists to your actual listening (for example, surfacing a sleep playlist if you listen to a lot of sleep content, or a sub-genre playlist based on albums you’ve saved), and to show trending content across all listeners.
Purchase and subscription data. If you subscribe, our subscription-management provider (RevenueCat) records your purchase status and product ID, tied to a random identifier it generates — never your name or email — so your subscription can be restored if you reinstall the app or switch devices. Apple and Google process the actual payment under their own privacy policies; we never see your card details.
We describe these identifiers as random rather than anonymous on purpose. They don’t contain or reveal anything about who you are, and we hold nothing that would let us connect one to a person — but a random identifier can still distinguish one device from another, so we treat it as personal information and describe it plainly here rather than claiming the data is anonymous.

We do not use this information for advertising, and we do not build a profile that identifies you personally — everything is tied to a random on-device identifier, not to you.
So the app remembers what you were doing, some settings are saved locally in the app’s private storage on your own device. This includes your playlists, liked tracks, saved albums, listening streak, and where you left off in a chapter.
If you download a chapter for offline listening, the audio file is stored in the app’s private storage as well. None of this is transmitted to us or to anyone else. It stays on your device and is deleted when you delete the app.
Music in Odé Bible streams from our audio hosting provider (Cloudflare R2) over the internet. To deliver a track to your device, our hosting and content-delivery provider processes standard, transient network information — such as the file requested and the network address it is sent to — purely to serve the audio. This information is handled by the provider to operate the service and is not used by us to identify you or build a profile.
Scripture text shown in the app is the King James Version (public domain) and is bundled inside the app, so reading Scripture does not require any request that reveals what you are reading.
Our own listening-analytics service runs on our own infrastructure — it is not a third-party advertising or tracking SDK — and is used only for the purposes described above. We do not sell your data or share it with anyone for advertising.
Odé Bible is a general-audience app. It is not directed at children, and we don’t target children in how it is designed, marketed, or rated — it is rated for ages 13 and up on both app stores. Some albums are labeled for younger listeners in a Kids genre, meant for a parent or guardian to play for a child. That content is deliberately kept out of every automatic recommendation surface in the app and can only be reached by choosing it directly.
We never ask any user — of any age — for a name, email address, age, or account. The random device identifier described above is used only to operate and personalize the app itself. It is never used for advertising, never used to build a profile shared with anyone else, and never used to contact anyone.

Since the app has no account or login, there’s no profile to sign into — but you do have choices. You can skip every onboarding question. Everything the app saves on your device — playlists, liked tracks, saved albums, downloads, listening streak, and your setup preferences — you can clear at any time from your device’s app settings, or by deleting the app.
Anything stored on your device is gone the moment you uninstall the app or clear its storage. That includes your setup preferences, which never leave your device in the first place.
Listening records are tied only to a random identifier, never to your identity. We hold no name, email, or account, so there is no “your account” for us to look up. In practice that means:
We keep listening records for as long as they serve the purposes described in this policy — trending, recommendations, and understanding how the app is used — and we review them periodically rather than keeping them indefinitely without reason.
Subscription and purchase records are retained by RevenueCat and by the App Store / Play Store for as long as needed to support your subscription, under their own retention policies. Those are not ours to delete.
